Insulation includes cavity wall installed 2012, loft 2 layers of fibre glass wool installed 2012, hot water tank, water pipe, chimney (PVC foam filled in 2012).

All windows and doors are double glazed with low emissivity (Low-E) glass with energy efficient gas in the gap.

New boiler installed 2012 with modern controls, thermostatic radiator valves (TRV's), water softening to reduce limescale build up, chemical inhibitors helps maintain central heating system.

PV Solar Panels (12x250w estimated 2,519 kwh) installed 2012. Low energy Lightbulbs.

A range of no, low and energy efficient appliances are used.

Water is harvested from the roof using 2 water butts and a 1000 litre tank. Toilet cistern saves water by adjusting internal float valve.

After installing double glazing, cavity wall and loft insulation and solar panels energy bills reduced from 98 to 52 per month.
