The garden includes a bio diverse roof garden on the Bungalow (pictured) and a sedum roof on the shed, mini pond, insect & bird attractant plants throughout year. It is used to grow fruit and veg and reuses old water tanks as raised beds, apple trees. Water is provided from water butts. Home Composting.

The property utilises wooden floor, bricks, doors, tiles which were reclaimed in 2012 and a fitted oak kitchen including appliances, and bathroom were sourced on ebay in 2012.

We try to do our bit within our budget. We have done some extensive building work including an extension and making a bedroom in the roof space. Our house is super insulated with celotex. We did not use all natural materials but did reuse as much as we could. The property has beautiful farmland views and we have maximised this. We have befriended the farmer and together with him and the neighbours planted a 400m wildlife hedge.
