Lighting by Light Emitting Diodes (LED’s) and Low Energy Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL’s).
A range of no, low and energy efficient appliances are used throughout the house.
A water hippo is used to reduce water usage.

The garden is wildlife friendly and used to grow food using home compost including wormery and water collected in water butts.
